Psychologue diplômé d'un master en psychologie clinique légale, j'accompagne les personnes via une approche intégrative, féministe et politique. About My name is Violet Grodent, and I am a queer clinical psychologist and psychotherapist who graduated in 2024 with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Psychopathology and Health Psychology (forensic psychology option) from the University of Lorraine. My training is integrative , that is to say that I focus my practice through several theoretical fields such as systemics, attachment theory, modernized psychoanalysis and therapeutic mediations. These two aspects are fundamental in our practice, as is respect for the free and informed consent of the patient to each tool/approach proposed. The Code of Ethics for Psychologists (2021) The Code of Ethics for Psychologists is the official text that governs our practice as mental health professionals. Indeed, we are subject to obligations of competence, respect, ethics and rigor in our intervention framework. One of the fundamental rules is the respect of professional secrecy: everything that is said, heard or seen during a session stays during the session! Only a few exceptions can be made to this rule according to the legal provisions in force, always by discussing them beforehand with the patient (minor - or person considered vulnerable - in danger for example). The Mental Health Derivometer (by Fanny Terrisse and Lola Pernot) The Dérivomètre is based on the Violentomètre tool, which allows us to gauge the degree of violence suffered or acted out by a person within the broader relational framework. Here, clinical psychologists Fanny Terrisse and Lola Pernot (from the Thérasphère website) have taken this example and adapted it to the context of psychotherapy and the different therapists we encounter. Because unfortunately, some practices do not respect the ethics of our profession or the people we receive. I thought it would be very useful to share this tool with you in order to prevent violence in the intimate setting of psychotherapy. It can be downloaded for free from their website (by clicking on the image above). The national suicide prevention number: 3114 3114 is a free number set up by the Government (Ministry of Health) since October 1, 2021 in order to respond to a growing need for support in the face of an increasing number of people suffering from psychological distress. It's a free number, available 24/7, where professionals will answer and listen to you on these questions, whether you are an individual or a professional. In fact, the fields of action of this system are grouped into 4 categories (from the website, accessible by clicking on the image above): - "I am suffering" - "I am affected by a suicide" - "I'm worried about someone." -"I am a professional."
